Epoxy flooring and Polished Concrete flooring can be some of the most spectacular, interesting, and sought after types of flooring you can include in your home. Extremely durable, it’s also easy to maintain if you follow a few simple tips.
While polished concrete floors are not completely maintenance free, they are generally quite simple to keep looking great with very little effort and a little clever planning.

- The number one thing to do in order to preserve your concrete flooring is to dust mop it regularly using a dry micro fibre loop style mop. Dry mopping helps to prevent dust and debris from building up on the floor, which can damage the surface.

- A weekly vacuum and damp mop using a PH neutral cleaning solution. Clean the mop regularly to ensure no debris becomes entangled within the strands and potentially scratch the floor. Also make sure your solution is clean, refresh your solution if needed.

- Clean up any spills or accidents immediately, especially food and drink as they often contain acidic or alkaline elements which can etch into the floor surface. Pet accidents are also included in that issue.

- Heavy traffic areas like doorways or hallways would benefit from the use of a rug. as long as it isn’t rubber backed as these may again scratch the surface.
